Steps to Convert DBX Files to Outlook PST


Go to Start » All Programs » DBX to PST Converter. The Window will appear as shown below. Click on Add File to add the DBX File.

The Software provides you two Selection options like:

  • Load from Configured Outlook Express Profile: If you have Outlook Express profile already configured in your system, then you can select this option. The tool is capable to automatically load the files from its default location
  • Select Files & Folders from file system: You can select this option if you have an orphan .dbx file. With this option you can manually browse the location of DBX files or folders. Then click Next

Now select the DBX file which you need to export. Click OK

Now, tick the checkboxes according to your need then click on Process button.

Now the screen will appear displaying all the emails of that selected DBX file or folder.

Click on Mail Tab to preview all the information related to that particular mail like: Path, From, To, Cc, Bcc etc.

You can also view the attachments by selecting Attachment Tab for that particular email.

The Outlook Express to PST tool has an option to Switch View, through this you can view the emails properties in Horizontal as well as in Vertical view according to the requirement.

Select the mail which you want to export by right clicking on it and selecting Export option.

A screen will appear with Export Options. If you need to export all folders then select ”Export all folders” button.

If you want to migrate selected folders, then click on “Export Selected Folders” button.

In the Export Option Screen select PST as file format. If you wish to split your PST file then you can check the “Split PST” checkbox.

A screen will appear showing the export report with the name of the folder & the item count. If you want to stop the process you can click “Stop Process”.

A prompt will appear showing the Export Process Completed Successfully

Once the process gets completed the software generates the exported report.
